Big Ken and Colleen’s Fight, Fight, Fight for $500 (9/22/14 – 10/20/14) 

Big Ken and Colleen’s “Fight, Fight, Fight for $500” presented by Affinity Credit Union is an custom contest that STAR 102.5 will conduct from Monday September 22nd until Monday October 19th in which four contestants will win $500 cash for the junior high or high schools that they enter. This contest will run for four weeks and use the same submission and voting periods each week. Each of the four weeks will be a different $500 prize. Contestants may enter by calling the Big Ken and Colleen after the Show Hotline at 515- 309-4270 and singing or cheering into the phone the complete fight song for a junior high or high school in the state of Iowa. All submissions must be made Monday through Thursday at 10am. The members of the morning show will pick their five favorite entries for that week and those entries will be put online for listeners to vote on. Listeners can vote for one of that week’s five finalists once per day, per e-mail address from Friday through Sunday at 5pm. The school fight song with the most votes will be declared the winner of the $500 and announced the following Monday Morning. Prize money will be awarded to the school, not the contestant. Contestants may enter in multiple weeks but may only win once. If there is a tie when voting ends, a random drawing will be performed between the tying entires to determine the winner. To participate in the voting of this contest you must become a registered user through uPickem. Anyone using fraudulent means to participate and/or win the contest will be disqualified. STAR 102.5 contests are open to all eligible Iowa residents 11 or older who have not won anything on the station in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Employees of KSTZ, the Des Moines Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communication Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within one hundred mile radius of KSTZ main studio are not eligible to win any contest. STAR 102.5 has the right to determine, in its absolute discretion, what content is appropriate for the website. Grand Prize Winners will be contacted with information pertaining to prize redemption.
