| Why should YOU be married at Baconfest?: |
We got together on February 1st, so February 1st would be a monumental day to get married.
I am one of the biggest bacon fans you will ever meet. I buy pork bellies and have them cured. I took 180 pounds of bellies to be cured to the best place to have bacon done, Dayton's in Malcolm Iowa, the winner of nontraditional bacon. then I had 60 more pounds made by the Des Moines Bacon Company. Everyone that knows me comes over to get bacon, cause I always have at least 30 pounds of bacon in my freezer. My next step in my love for Bacon is to start curing and smoking my own.
Dawn and I have both been married before and do not want a traditional style wedding. Bacon Fest would be the Perfect venue for us to make our love official. |

I enjoy bacon, but Curt by far loves it more than anyone I have ever met. He will cook with it every opportunity he gets in almost everything.

| What is the best & worst thing about each other?: |
Between us, we have 6 kids and 4 grandchildren. We have looked at multiple options for getting married from eloping in Vegas to a week away in the Caribbean. Being here locally, where our immediate family could attend, would be amazing as we join our two families together. The marriage at bacon fest would be my dream and the honeymoon would be for her. She is amazing in the fact, that she would do this for me as it is more my dream than hers. |
